Lightroom Metadata-Viewer Preset Builder

This is a very important tutorial for those of you who DON’T tag every photo you capture with metadata! Sometimes the caption can be the most compelling part of your photo. Especially 10-20 years from now when another generation wants to find out what really took place in your image. Moreover, your name, website, copyright info, etc. needs to be embedded so you get the credit you deserve for your work. Please get into a good habit of tagging your photos and I hope this tutorial makes it less painful to accomplish!

Thanks to Jeffrey Friedl, you can now customize your metadata fields exactly as you’d like inside of Lightroom. Narrow your metadata interface down to just what you need in order to be efficient throughout your workflow. Check out Jeff’s blog here for great Lightroom tips and presets. He has done the photography community a huge favor with his scripting knowledge so thank you very much Jeff!!!

    Hi Tyler,

Have become a great fan of yours since I visited you page.

I have a request if you can help me out in this.

I have PM but it doesnt have the field named “People”. In my project workflow its required to add the names of the prominent persons seen in the image. Is there any way by which we can customise PM and add this field in the PM.

Your help in this will be highly appreciated.

    Danny
